A clutch, a clan, a covey of artists will be expecting you on April 30 and May 1

Art in caves, they have that, too. Bursting with caves which are very much in use and inhabited, Saint-Etienne-de-Chigny (37) is less known for its arts. The municipality has organized a weekend when some thirty artists will have their work on display. Some of them will open their studios to the public, while others will display in people’s homes.
Homes and workshops will be open Saturday from 2 :00 to 7 :00 in the afternoon, and Sunday from 10 :00 to 7 :00.
Cave drawings (but don’t expect wooly mammoths), cave paintings, cave illustrations, cave graphic design, cave sculpture… it’s all there; expect diversity and quality.
There will be regular activities throughout the two days. Festivities will conclude with a concert of 17th century popular music in the church in the “old town.”
Not to be missed!
